Castle Hotel - Aberaeron

We thoroughly enjoyed exceptional breakfasts and lovely views!

Came here for 1 day, the hotel was well-maintained and colourful, it had magnificent location close enough to the shops and harbour, eating restaurants and best chippy for miles. Double room was attractively furnished with large bed. We had central heating, a flat-screen television and a study table plus a clean bathroom.

Well presented room with lovely bathroom. Lovely breakfast with plenty of savoury foods. Magnificent location on 'what to do' in the area and helpful staff.

Delicious full Welsh breakfast every morning!

Very loud pop music played until 1:00 am made it impossible to sleep.

The powerful shower was refreshing, yet the bar noise made sleeping difficult.

The location offers easy access to beautiful coastal walks. The atmosphere in the bar was lively.

Lovely location, just a hop from shops and eateries! Breakfast was a delight, served by the sweetest lady. The new owner was friendly and charming, though still figuring things out.

The power sockets were playing hide and seek and our room was tidier than a teenager's bedroom- yikes! No cleaning service? My coffee cup was starting to feel like a pet!

The decor upstairs has a nice touch that feels inviting. Breakfast offered some decent options.

Rooms seem a bit worn down, and the bathrooms could use a refresh. The shower had a weak flow, which isn't ideal for getting the grime off after a long day. While the bar claims to stay open late, it was unexpectedly closed when we returned, which left us without a nightcap. Finding parking proved a challenge despite the promise of availability. Options are limited and crowded. Noise from the surroundings can be intrusive at times, particularly if you're sensitive to sound.

Pleasant Stay with Great Food!

Spent a lovely two nights here and enjoyed the extensive menu. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere relaxed. Make sure to try the generous portions at the restaurant, and don't worry about peak times. The food is worth the wait!

All fine, but noise disturbance

The room was clean and bright, a nice touch. The bed was super comfy, perfect for a good night's sleep. It had all the facilities I needed for an overnight stay. I was impressed with the huge bathroom and good quality coffee in the room too. A pleasant experience in a lovely spot.

good staff but needs improvements

The staff proved to be friendly. The cleanliness of our Standard Double Room was so great.

I felt the hotel fell short of a true four-star experience with some amenities needing further attention.

Friendly staff, convenient location, with easy access to shops and restaurants, and a lovely breakfast cooked by a very nice lady that I thoroughly enjoyed .

Had a great stay here! The breakfast was delicious, especially the smoked mackerel and poached eggs. The atmosphere in the bar was buzzing, perfect for unwinding. Definitely planning on coming back again soon.

We visited the harbor and enjoyed a nice meal nearby. The drinks were cold, and the staff was friendly. Perfect spot to relax after a day out. Make sure to check out the local beaches! Highly recommend this place for a fun getaway.
